There is no queue for the inbound calls, so when people ring they get straight through to us. This is abnormal; they usually have to wait for 10-15 minutes. So the last call that I received, I, being fully aware of this, waited for 2 minutes while there was no response on the line. The kicker was when I said 'I've had no response so I'm going to need to release the call', because that was when I hear this shriek (apparently I'm on speaker phone) and the sound of footsteps running back, and a breathless 'nonono!' Obviously the woman called us, expected to wait for ages and just left the room for a bit. I laughed. She laughed too.
